SIMASTY Episode 2.15 “Endgame”Part 11

Back at the hospital, the time had come for Texas and Cyril to marry. In a hastily put together event, Dr Hugh Manatee along with a nurse were to be the witnesses. No other guests were present. Cyril could barely sit up in the bed and Dr Manatee had serious misgivings about allowing this ceremony to go ahead.

An emaciated Cyril managed a weak smile at his physician.

They both knew time was running out for Cyril. It was for this reason that Dr Manatee had reluctantly agreed to the ceremony. Also the threat from Texas that she would stop anymore financial funding to the hospital from the DolbyDoh account was also a factor. And speaking of the devil, the door opened and Texas swooped into the room in full bridezilla mode.

Texas stood beside her dying devious lover and held his hand.

Cyril managed another feeble smile. If he noticed Texas glancing at the clock he gave no sign. However, Dr Manatee wanted to state in front of Nurse Charles and Reverend Green his concerns for inwardly he did not believe Texas had Cyril’s best interests at heart.

Texas quite rightly sensed that Dr Manatee did not like her and aware that he could stop the ceremony at any moment, she was keen to get the ring on her finger as quickly as possible.

Reluctantly Dr Manatee stepped aside and allowed Reverend Green to step forward. The wedding of the diabolical duo began.

Cyril raised his hand weakly , the weight of ring he was to put on Texas’s finger was almost too heavy for him. Seeing him struggle and knowing time was of the essence, Texas quickly snatched the ring and placed it on her finger before slipping a ring on Cyril’s skeletal digit.

The newlyweds moved closer and sealed their union with a kiss.

As their lips touched their was a sudden clap of thunder and flash of lightning just over the hospital.

Texas watched as the others left the room before turning back to her new husband.

Struggling to keep his eyes open, Cyril managed a smirk for his bride. There was something he was determined to say before he would be robbed of the chance.

Despite the real intentions of why she had married him (his money) it still upset Texas to see Cyril like this.

But Cyril persisted. He knew Texas didn’t really love him, she probably never had even through their affair all those years ago when she was married to Burke. He had been nothing more than a passing distraction for her even though she was the only woman he had ever loved.

Cyril ignored her concern and the frantic beeping of the heart monitor.

And there it was – the truth from Cyril Dolby at last. The shock of this news silenced Texas for a moment. When she saw the glee in his wicked eyes, she knew it to be true even though she did not want to believe it.

Slowly Texas backed away from the bed and Cyril knew instantly that he had lost her. The look of horror and shock on her face was enough to send his heart spasming.

The past 26 years of her life , the loss of her first born son had all been orchestrated by the one man she thought had loved her. This was yet another wretched man who had ruined her life and Texas did not hold back from telling Cyril what she thought.

As she spat the words in his face, Cyril grasped at his chest before his head fell back and his body went limp.

The heart monitor sent an alarm to Nurse Charles who came running into the room. Seeing that there was a witness now, Texas quickly put on an act of fake concern.

Very quickly Dr Manatee and Reverend Green rushed back into the room. As Hugh tended to Cyril, Texas kept up with the pretence of the concerned wife. Eventually Hugh stepped back from the comatose Cyril and delivered his verdict.

Texas turned her back to make her exit leaving Dr Manatee shocked by her decision.

Texas spun around and faced them all with a beaming smile. A new powerful, vengeful version of herself had just emerged.

And with that she walked out of the room. To hell with Cyril Dolby for he was yesterday’s news she thought. Texas would now play the part of the grieving widow for the world to see but she would use her new found wealth and power to destroy anyone who got in her way. There were many scores she had to settle, none more than with her ex-husband Burke. And now she would be taking him on with equal footing. With Cyril’s billions and his vast global empire to run, Texas Dolby would be unstoppable…

SIMASTY Episode 2.15 “Endgame” Part 8

Across town, Brystle had arrived at her former husband’s home. This was the first time she had been able to visit him following his assault and robbery the previous week which had resulted in Clarke being hospitalized. He had alleged that Burke had been behind the assault but after he had been arrested, Burke was released without charge pending further investigation.

The guilt of what had happened to Clarke was eating away at Brystle for she believed that Burke had arranged the attack on her former husband. Now she wanted to see with her own eyes jsut what had been inflicted upon her former husband and when he opened the door she was horrified at the scars he bore. Clarke however was not very receptive of her visit.

The mention of the payment of bills only infuriated Clarke all the more. He had left Burke’s office with a check for 5 million Simoleons, his payoff for granting Brystle the divorce. But the assault had also been a robbery and the check was stolen leaving Clarke battered, bruised and broke.

There was no use in trying to deny it publicly any longer. Brystle had wrestled with her conscience long enough and realised she could no longer defend Burke’s actions. If only she knew that in this instance that she was wrong for Burke had nothing to do with the attack on Clarke. It had all been arranged by Texas, her revenge against Clarke for his betrayal (Plot reminder- Texas had brought Clarke to Windenburg when she learned Brystle’s first marriage had never been annulled in the hope that Burke would be furious and throw Brystle out of the mansion. Clarke was to have refused to divorce Brystle , not to take the money and run!)

Clarke’s harsh words were not only hurtful but also left Brystle with a sinking feeling that something terrible was coming her way…

Meanwhile back at the mansion, there was trouble about to explode for the Drysdale’s. Their guest suite in the west wing was about to be rocked by a startling revelation from Mayhew. He stood looking out of the window pensively, knowing that what he was about to say to his wife Malaudia would surely bring her world crashing down yet again. Whilst he knew his wife was of a fragile mental state, he could no longer go on living a lie – their marriage was dead. He loved Brystle and he was calling time on his life with Malaudia. He intended on leaving Siloli this evening and he planned on taking Brystle with him. However, he didn’t count on Malaudia being one step ahead of him…

Mayhew turned around to face his wife. There was no use in going on with the charade of a marriage any longer. Malaudia knew the score and it was time she heard everything.

Malaudia marched straight forward and with all her might smacked Mayhew across the face leaving him stunned.

Malaudia of course was referring to the murder of Detective Morelli earlier that year by Mayhew’s deranged mother. She had been the one who had driven Malaudia insane and had her locked up in a simitarium and blackmailed her doctor to keep her there. Once she got rumbled by Detective Morelli she shot him in the attic of the Drysdale family home before setting fire to the place and fleeing the country taking Malaudia and Mayhew’s daughter Mimsy with her. There hadn’t been a sighting of the fugitive geriatric or her teen granddaughter since despite them both being on the SBI’s 10 Most Wanted list as well as Simterpol.

This wasn’t how he expected Malaudia to be. In fact, Mayhew could see signs of her erratic trait starting to re-emerge. But he couldn’t let that stop him from making this hard decision otherwise nothing would ever change between them.

Malaudia had heard enough! The audacity of Mayhew to stand there and declare his love for another woman!

With that, Mayhew opened the door and left, walking out on his marriage for good. Alone in the room, Malaudia stood staring at the closed door.

And then suddenly…..she snapped…

The voices…they were back in her head….voices that she had tried so very hard to suppress over the past few years….voices that Mother Drysdale had so cruelly exploited when she had driven Malaudia to the edge of insanity….

Malaudia staggered forward and clutched the side of the dresser to steady herself, trying so desperately to silence the voices in her head.

But it was too late, the voices were now in control. And in a fit of rage, Malaudia screamed at the top of her lungs. But would anyone hear her…????
